The evolution of the proportion of women among all MEPs at the beginning of each parliamentary term shows steady growth, starting at 16.3% in the first term and reaching the highest percentage yet in the current term, at 36.9%. Changes in the composition of the Parliament since July 2014 have increased the percentage of women slightly, from 36.9% to 37.3%.
