Proportion of men and women in the EP

The evolution of the proportion of women among all MEPs at the beginning of each parliamentary term shows
steady growth, starting at 16.3% in the first term and reaching the highest percentage yet in the current term, at
36.9%. Changes in the composition of the Parliament since July 2014 have slightly decreased the percentage of
women, from 36.9% to 36.5%.
