The chart below shows the average length of time taken for files under the OLP in the 8th and 9th parliamentary terms. The average duration of each completed procedure was 17 months in the 9th term for those concluded at first reading; whereas, at 18 months, it was longer in the previous term. For files concluded at second reading, there is no difference between the two terms: 39 months for both. In the 8th legislature, files ending with the Council’s second reading took 40 months, but none reached that stage in the 9th term. (None have gone to a third reading in either term.)
