The table below shows the turnout by Member State for each of the ten European Parliament elections held since June 1979. For each election, the colours highlight the lowest turnout among Member States, the highest turnout in a Member State without compulsory voting, and the highest turnout overall. The EU average at each election is highlighted by the horizontal line in yellow.
