According to data collected by Eurostat from 21 EU countries and three European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries – Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway – since March 2022, the three top countries that have granted temporary protection status to unaccompanied minors are Austria, the Netherlands and Lithuania. In relative terms, Croatia has the highest share of unaccompanied minors among the total number of children granted temporary protection (see Figure 2).
