The graphic on the right shows the gender of the representatives of Member States plus Commissioners attending each Council configuration in 2023. The share of women did not reach 50 % in any Council configuration. The highest female participation – above 40 % – was in the configurations on Education, Youth, Culture and Sport, followed by Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs, and then General Affairs. The lowest female representation was observed in Agriculture and Fisheries (22.5 %), Competitiveness (26.2 %) and Foreign Affairs meetings (26.4 %).
