Global manufacturing exports and China's share

From 2000 to 2009 China’s exports increased nearly fivefold to US$1.2 trillion with its world share rising from 3.9% to 9.7%.
It has significant production in a wide range of industries: labour-intensive assembly (e.g. textiles, apparel, furniture), heavy industry (e.g. ships) and high tech (e.g. telecoms equipment, computers).
