Who is the youngest MEP ever? How old was the youngest MEP when elected?

With this article we answer these questions and give you an insight into the activities of the youngest MEPs in each parliamentary term from 1979 to 2014.

If this is the situation with average age, it seems that the youngest MEP ever is, in contrast, really young: only 21.5 years old and a woman – Ilka SCHRÖDER. An interesting fact is that of the 7 youngest MEPs per parliamentary term, 5 are women.

To satisfy your curiosity entirely, the oldest member of the assembly ever was, Claude AUTANT-LARA, aged 88 when elected on 25 July 1989.

But who were the youngest MEPs and what did they do during their mandates?
