The impacts of environmental pressures vary among individual ecosystem types and are projected to change in the future. Although habitat change and pollution/nutrient enrichment are estimated to have caused the greatest overall impact, climate change pressures are projected to significantly increase across all ecosystems in the future. All but three pressures are anticipated to persist at current levels or increase in the future.
