US federal aid to Syrians (in US dolar millions)

The US is the largest single humanitarian aid donor for those affected by the Syrian
conflict. Since the beginning of the conflict in 2011, total humanitarian assistance
amounts to over US$4.5 billion, benefitting both the Syrian population displaced inside
the country and those in the neighbouring region – primarily in Lebanon, Jordan and
Turkey, (with 2 072 290 individuals in Turkey, 1 078 338 individuals in Lebanon, and
629 627 individuals in Jordan (data from October 2015).
