A total of 143 women voting members serve in the 117th Congress: 119 in the House (88 Democrats and 31 Republicans) and 24 in the Senate (16 Democrats and 8 Republicans).5 In addition, there are two female Democratic Delegates in the House, as well as one female Republican Delegate, in addition to the woman Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico.
