There are more men than women in all EU Member State national parliaments (See Figure 3). When it comes to the members of national governments of Member States, at the end of 2022 the share of women ranged from higher than men’s in Spain (60.9 %), Finland (57.9 %) and Belgium (53.3 %), to very low: under 10 % in Hungary (6.7 %), Greece (8.7 %) and Romania (9.1 %). Five Member States –Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy and Lithuania – have female prime ministers. Estonia and Greece have female presidents.
