In 2019, 8.3 % of the EU-27 population was living in a household with very low work intensity. This proportion had been decreasing since 2014 (minus 2.8 p.p.). In 2019, around 5 % of the population was living in a household with very low work intensity in Czechia (4.2 %), Poland (4.7 %), Malta (4.9 %), Hungary (5.0 %) and Slovenia (5.2 %). A the other end of the scale, the proportion of persons living in a household with very low work intensity exceeded 10 % in Spain (10.8 %), Belgium (12.4 %), Ireland (13.6 %) and Greece (13.8 %, see Map 3).
