These rates varied considerably across Member States (see Map 4). Bulgaria (19.9 %), Greece (15.9 %) and Romania (12.6 %) registered the highest rates of severe material deprivation in 2019. Conversely, the lowest rates were below 3 % in Czechia and Germany (2.7 % for both), Denmark (2.6 %), and the Netherlands and Finland (2.4 % for both).
