Figure 12 shows the vaccination coverage of EU27 + 3 EEA countries. 5 countries achieved 80% coverage of 2 doses and 18 countries achieved 50% coverage of 3 doses. Figure 13 shows the number of weeks since January 2021 needed for a country to vaccinate 50% of the population twice and to administer a third dose for 50% of the population. Malta was the quickest in vaccinating 50% of the population twice, taking only 23 weeks. Among the EU27, Denmark was the quickest in boosting its population, reaching 50% of population boosted in the first week of 2022, closely followed by Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and Italy.
