According to a 2023 Wind Europe report, in 2022, the total installed wind power capacity in the EU reached 204 GW (gigawatts), with 188 GW onshore (92 %) and 16 GW offshore (8 %). The installed capacity varies across EU countries. The largest onshore wind capacity is located in Germany, Spain, France, Sweden, Italy and Poland.
